How to Physically Prepare for the Ceremony
Physical preparation for an Ayahuasca ceremony involves adhering to a specific dietary regimen, designed to cleanse the body and clarify the mind. This dietary approach enhances the effectiveness of the treatment during the ceremonies and reduces the risk of side effects.
Foods to Avoid:
Red meat and pork: Consumption of fish and chicken is permissible in small amounts but should be completely excluded one week before the ceremony.
Fermented foods: Avoid anchovies, herring, tofu, soy products, soy sauce, sauerkraut, and pickled foods.
Chocolate, processed sweets, and refined sugar
Citrus fruits and bananas
Aged cheeses
Yogurt and other dairy products
Alcohol: Must be completely excluded two weeks before and after the retreat.
Caffeine, spicy, salty, and fried foods, and processed foods: Better to exclude or significantly reduce consumption two weeks before and after the retreat.
Sexual activity of any kind: Should be excluded one week before and after the retreat.
By following these guidelines, you can ensure a deeper, safer, and more effective experience during your Ayahuasca ceremony.

Mental Preparation for the Ceremony
The most crucial aspect of preparing for an Ayahuasca ceremony is clarifying your intentions.
Start by asking yourself: "Why do I need this?" Perhaps you're simply curious or "just want to try it out." In such cases, we sincerely do not recommend taking Ayahuasca at all. It is not a recreational drug; instead, it is likely to result in a negative experience.
It's essential to delve into yourself and contemplate the following points, based on which you will formulate your intention before the ceremony:
  • Your current state of physiological and psychological health and your level of satisfaction with it.
  • Recurring behavioral patterns linked to the past that cause you psychological and emotional discomfort and unrest.
  • What exactly you've been unable to change in your life.
  • How all of the above affects your relationships with the world around you and with yourself.
  • What plans, goals, and future perspectives you would like to realize in your life.
The more thoroughly you consider each of these points and the more honest you are with yourself, the better you'll be able to work through these issues during the ceremony. Ayahuasca acts as a catalyst, accelerating the processes of transformation productively.
It's also important to refrain from specific expectations of the Ayahuasca ceremony. The desire to "solve all problems" hinders the necessary experience, as it focuses on the desire itself rather than on the internal processes occurring. Solutions to your problems may lie beyond the confines of specific requests.
Forming an intention is not about setting goals for their achievement; it's about being ready to see solutions to issues from a broader perspective, it's about the ability to transcend everything that fits within the confines of the mind.
Additional Recommendations
We recommend reducing or abstaining from sexual activity for one week before the ceremony. During the preparation for the retreat, it is advisable to decrease social activity, limit time spent on the internet and social media, and reduce the use of electronic devices.
Medications
Discontinue the intake of all non-essential medications, particularly antidepressants, one to two weeks before engaging with plant medicine. If you are taking any medications on a regular basis, it is essential to inform us during the retreat booking stage so that we can assess the situation. Under no circumstances should you discontinue medication without consulting your healthcare provider.
Clothing and Accessories
We recommend bringing comfortable clothing suitable for the season – for outdoor walks and ceremonies. Be sure to pack comfortable footwear and warm socks. Rest assured, we adhere to the strictest cleanliness standards. Blankets, pillows, bedding, towels, and mattresses will be provided to each participant, but if you prefer, you may bring your favorite blanket and towel.
Diet on the Day of the Ceremony
On the day of the ceremony, the last meal will be at lunchtime (4-5 hours before the ceremony). In case of significant hunger, you can drink tea, eat an apple, or have a small piece of dried bread. It's advisable to reduce water intake 1-1.5 hours before the ceremony, and if you experience dryness in the mouth, rinsing your mouth is recommended.
